I wrote you a card

I wrote you a card
I wanted you to see,
All the pain that's grown
grows like a tree.

I wander in to your heart
You let me see,
Only for my hopes to end as dreams.

I call your name from time to time
But you never listen to my rhyme,

All I can stand is to lay in wait,
All the while I know
I'm several hours late.

Lets push through the crowd
Take this ring,
Band ourselves
Wed and sing.

Once I awoke to finally see
The roses I left had returned to me
Clutching them so soft,
Like the birds and their sing.
Their morning call
Their frequent ring.

Rise and shine,
To have another moment
Would have been divine.

'Dripping like blood'

Tears dripping like blood
drip, drip, drip,
the pain won’t ever fade
mesmerizing, trapped in a gaze
of wonder
of beauty
of absolute joy.

But times change, and people change.
If love is so pure, then why do people hate?
Deranged, unable to arrange
the longing for the answers to fill life
you’re entrapped, encased, enclosed in a world
only your own, no commercial tv, nothing to absorb your pain.

Pain of nothing but absolute, uncontrollable love.
They understand, but do they? Really? How can anyone feel
the death of someone who has yet to die, your future only a distant
memory. It will get better they say, if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.

But how can you put the price of fate on intimacy?
Would you play russian roulette? Spin the barrel and pull the trigger.
You survived, fate or luck? Win or lose?

You watch from a window, your life in someone elses shoes
laughing, joking, elated on love. The love that was yours.
It is still yours, but the world had other plans.
Throw down your plans, forget your sacrifice,
your patience, your lack of greed, your desire to please.

One becomes trapped, the other free.
Trapped in a maze that overrun with debris, the tug of a thorn as you run,
uncontrollably, unconditionally, pathetically, reminds you of love.
It fills your mind, like a glass of water, always half full.
Optimism is not always the ideal. It’s beginning to overflow,
how do you make way for such feelings, such desire with nowhere to go.
You can’t deliver them, not anymore. that road has been closed.
For far too long, I’ve been looking, trying to find another way,
but you wouldn’t let me in.

My tears drip like blood.
Scars try to hide the pain,
not of the past, but of the future,
Drip, drip, drip.
The pain will never fade,
for now I’m mesmerised
trapped in a gaze,
for your beauty will never fade.

'I can hear the Rain'

I can hear the rain
Pounding at my door
Another gloomy day
I can't take anymore

There used to be a light
That light was you
I used to dream alone
And I'd end up with you

I can hear the rain
Slipping down my face
Meandering through the crevices
Leaving behind a trace

A trace of love that is just for you
My heart doesn't long for something new.

No, it still longs for you
Your beautiful hair
And your wonderful care
Free joy and happiness
That was there to stay
But I had to have tempted fate
I needed you more and more
As the world flew by
My world stood still
I hear the goodbyes

I'm not where I'm supposed to be
I deserve more
I deserve better
I'm sure I've found the cure
But to obtain it is much harder to do

For some it's in their blood
They open a door to find there
Gold and love and everything in between
They don't notice as it seems
Far to far for me to go
Door after door
Thousands of keys
Only to unlock
And set myself free

I lost a love so fond of me
She had my heart
She had my key

It fit so elegantly inside her chest
I knew at the start that we could stand the test
Of time
Of trouble
Of lovers joy

Her words of wisdom sang to my heart
But I ignored the sounds of harps
The sound of joy
The sound of love
I lost the only thing I've ever loved

More than my life
More than my dreams
I cry when awake
My mind makes me weep

I think of how things would be
Should be
If I could unlock more doors
And see
The next step in my life so fresh
And free
But now that locks shut
And I've lost the key

I can hear the rain
Inside my mind
The condensation
Turned me blind
but I can see
Through foggy haze
And I know just
One of these days

I'll find a way
And Escape the maze.

My Confidant

'My Confidant'

Your love is my confident

It is pure gluttony
pure truculence

Would you listen to my hearts
Voice?
You know its sound.
I know,
I hear yours.
To feel your love
Beating
Is the purest of
sounds.

It is my plethora.
Your plethora.
No one knows.
Not even you.
But I’ll try my best
and maybe one day soon

You’ll see my love
Binding its web
Interlocking our hearts
Turning our heads.

When one breaks
The other will
Heal
It’s delicate lace
Only two can
feel.

Everyone has their
Love
Different from the person before
Different from
you
&
 I
But that’s what makes it pure

All its differences and instabilities.
For of all its gratuitous sense
Replaces any feeling of
Discontent.

Love is never easy
But it’s important to see.
A modicum of love
is worth
more than an abundance of greed.

Your love is my passion,
For to love
Is to feel.
I love you baby,

And I know this time. It’s for real.

Use Cross Processing to enhance your photo's | LightRoom 4

It's probably one of the best ways to enhance your photographs. Fashion photographers use it. Portrait photographers use it. Cross Processing used to be a term associated with developing film in the wrong chemicals for different lengths of time. Now, many people use LightRoom to get a similar effect by using the split toning feature, applying one hue to the highlights of the image and another to the shadows.

Split Toning has made the image above much warmer and eye catching. The before image could still be classed as a well presented image, but it doesn't give the image anything to stand out.
It doesn't have to be as obvious either, I added it to these shots where it gives the image more clarity and appears much more appealing.

To get started, a warmer hue is usually used for the highlights and cooler for the shadows. You can also try out different combinations of colours to mix and experiment with.

I used a Hue of 81 with Saturation at 27 for the highlights and a Hue of 240, Saturation 39 for the shadows. You can see the image looks much more professional with this feature.
Try Cross Processing out! Find your own style and give your photos a signature look.

Project 365 - Day Seventeen

"I've been sitting, waiting, wishing"

I love this bridge. It's along a small path that follows a river for 23 miles and is so quiet & peaceful. I shot this whilst on a bike ride but got bitten to pieces soon enough by every bug you've never heard of so only took 4 frames.

Sometimes you do just sit, wait and wish for something to happen but it never does. I think it's important to go to something rather than expect something to come to you. Many people do it, and I think it's time I did something.

Project 365 - Day Sixteen

Little Suckers

Today I went to the local aquatics shop to buy some baby Pleco fish. The store probably hated me for coming in about 2 minutes before closing but oh well! The tank has been running for almost a month now and nothing has died!!! So it's awesome. ;-)
Have a great day.
